Sunnie Bethea, RHIT, CPC-I, CPC, CPB
Sunnie J. Bethea is a highly sought-after health care professional and instructor with more than 20 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry. She has extensive experience in Health Care Administration, Compliance, Healthcare Information Management (HIM), Risk Adjustment, Revenue Cycle, Managed Care, and Coding & Biling sectors.
Over the years, Sunnie Bethea has developed a keen ability to recognize the various problems facing organizations in the Healthcare Industry. She is passionate about and continues to provide assistance to businesses and individuals in areas of patient management, medical auditing, billing, and coding, and electronic health records.
In 2018, while working at a wholly minority owned Federally Qualified Healthcare Center with multiple locations, Sunnie found her own voice. It was during that time that she recognized the need to fulfill her passion by offering her expertise and desire to do more in the community she served. Her decision to share her experience and knowledge prompted her to help create Justified Coding and Billing in Camden, N.J., which helps to train and prepare students for employment by developing skills in the many facets of the healthcare administrative sector and to also prepare for their Certified Professional Coding, CPC© and Certified Professional Billing, CPB™ exams.
In 2021, Sunnie Bethea partnered with Reflections Staffing, a for-profit community-based organization, where she now serves as Vice President. It is Sunnie’s goal to inspire others to reach their highest potential in the Healthcare Industry.
Sunnie holds an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Management and a BS in Health Information Administration. As someone who is committed to being professional in all she does, she is an active Registered Healthcare Information Technician, and holds several certifications, to include Certified Professional Coder, Certified Professional Biller, and Certified Professional Coding Instructor.
